A few clear answers about how BackOn works.
What happens after a missed goal?
One closed missed eligible period cools a habit; two can freeze it. Your earlier records stay in the history. The current open period is not treated as missed before it ends, and off days or paused periods are neutral.
How does a small comeback work?
A small return records real action and resets the freeze cycle. For a pages or minutes goal it adds one actual unit. It does not fill missed dates or count an incomplete target as a full goal. See the one-page example.
Can I change my routine?
Choose a daily goal, selected days or a weekly rhythm. Daily goal changes take effect tomorrow; changes involving weekly goals take effect next Monday. Earlier records keep the goal definition that applied to them. Compare the rhythms.
Can I track habits I want to reduce?
Yes. Alongside build habits, BackOn supports explicit intention check-ins or numeric daily/selected-day limits. An entered zero can be a real record; a blank day is not an automatic success. These are manual records, not automatic phone-usage measurements.
Does BackOn require a paid plan?
Yes. Available plans, prices and billing terms are shown in the app before purchase. Check the terms displayed by your store when deciding on a plan.
Is the website demonstration my real history?
No. The website’s habit cards use illustrative examples. Tapping the frozen reading habit or changing a color on this page does not update your app. The demonstration resets when the page reloads.
